Long live the 70s!

The best part about vintage clothing are the colorful and creative prints!
The 60s and 70s had so many amazing colorful textiles…
I collect vintage clothing in part to collect the textiles that go along with them.
This vintage 70s mini dress has the most beautiful blend of pastel pinks and peaches…
The dress has a taupe floral print that swirls in all different directions…
Its a great dress for winter. The dress has long sleeves and is short enough for boots!!
When I put this outfit on I tried on my floppy hat, and the hat matched so perfect!
We photoed the dress at sunset and I'd say we captured the sunset hues of this mini dress.
Sunset colors are my favorite colors to wear!
They remind me of the summer, romance, and warm days.
Everything that makes me happy!
Taking something old and combining it with a few vintage accessories,
gives your wardrobe a fresh new look.
Long live the 70s!

Flower Child

On my trip to California San Francisco was an amazing city!!!
Haight Ashbury was the highlight of my San Francisco trip.
At Haight Ashbury there was so much culture from the music scene of the 1960s.
It inspired me to put this Flower power inspired look together…
This boho dress from Shabbybabe is a true patchwork hippie dress
The multicolor floral print is incredible!
The purple ruffle and bodice both match so perfectly!
I wore this dress all throughout San Francisco on my nights out in the city.
I received so many compliments on it.
A denim jacket tones down this dress a notch if your looking for a more casual look.
To complete this outfit I wore my tan Jeffrey Campbell boots from Free People with it.
I have 2 pairs of these boots because they match every dress so well!
The boots were well worth the investment.
I find that its hard to find a nice summer boot to put with midi dresses in the summer.
If your looking for that perfect boot, I suggest these Jeffrey Campbell ones..
I'm definitely going to miss San Francisco. Never have I seen so many gorgeous coastlines and bridges.
The San Francisco hills were insane! I can't wait to visit again soon!

Vitamin Sea

How I loved Monterey, California!
Its probably one of the most scenic and beautiful spots to visit in all of California.
I was very lucky to have experienced it for a few days.
The Monterey beaches were so gorgeous it was like being on a movie set!
I was only there for 4 days but I think I'd like to go back for a week or 2.
While I was in Monterey,
I stopped along the 17 mile drive to shoot a few gorgeous printed vintage dresses.
This peasant dress from Shabbybabe has pretty puff sleeves and high slits on each side.
I'd say its more of a beach dress than a regular day dress.
It would make a gorgeous beach cover up to throw on over a bikini!
I love the print! Its a jungle theme print.
It has palm trees, elephants, and tigers!!
When I go to the beach I can never be without a few accessories so,
I bought this pair of Chacos Sandals over the summer.
 I love them!
Their fashioned of 100% real leather,
and I've never worn a sandal so comfortable in my life!
They were ideal for walking around on the rocky terrain.
I always put on a vintage leather belt with a boho dress like this!
Concho belts are truly my favorite accessory.
I just bought this Choker during the summer.
Its a tribal themed piece from one of my favorite online jewelry stores,"Child of Wild".
I said to myself this summer I needed "Vitamin Sea"
and I definitely got a huge dose of it while in California!

Patchwork Babydoll Grunge

The fall is a time of transition….
There comes a change in lifestyle, schedule, and even the weather!
Its frustrating dressing around the changing weather..
In the fall season Its warm during the day, and much cooler at night!
So how do we address these wardrobe problems that come with the change of seasons???
We layer, and shop for dresses to suit our needs.
Grunge dresses suit those needs for fall.
I'm convinced that's why 90s grunge has never really gone out of style.
These dresses have the whole package!
Their long enough to dress for cool and warm weather,
the floral prints suit every season,
and their fast and easy to change into. You get out of bed and slip it on….
Most grunge dresses have that feature of being loose, easy, casual, and comfortable…

This dress from Shabbybabe is such a unique patchwork print and design.
The dress has a loose baby doll silhouette, and
navy blue is such a beautiful color to wear during the fall!
I adore the large floral print combined with the small ditsy floral print.
With these kinds of patchwork baby doll dresses
never be afraid to throw those knee high leather boots on with it!
I'm probably going to wear these Jeffrey Campbell boots out this winter.
I bought these boots last winter and fell in love!
They don't have a really high heel and you can wear these boots with jeans or dresses.
I think its important to keep getting dressed up in the colder months of fall and winter.
It keeps us feeling good, beautiful, and like the goddesses we know we are!

Embroidered Oaxacan Vibes

Embroidered loose cotton dresses are the best way to spend these last few weeks of summer..
I think Embroidered Mexican Oaxacan Dresses
are some of the most comfortable dresses to wear!
They simply slip over the head and are usually made of cotton.
Oaxacan dresses are very timeless pieces to wear
Whats so great about these dresses is that each one is a work of art!
They've all been hand embroidered in Mexico, and the colors are so rich!!
They really have no specific period in history as to when they were popular.
I think these dresses would be ideal to wear to a Festival, or Party.
Their awesome for the clothing collector as well.
I love to add a few pieces of
turquoise and silver to give it that Southwestern Boho feel.
I can't imagine how many hours of work that goes into creating each dress.
As a matter of fact, Embroidered Oaxacan dresses have inspired me to learn how to embroider!
I'd love to keep seeing more of these handcrafted bohemian dresses in the industry!
Its great to know that some of that hand craftsmanship still exists in fashion today.
