My Favorite Dress!

Happy June!!
We're finally ready for those long hot summer days and nights.
Theres nothing I love more than a loose white sundress I can button up or down for summer.
This is a vintage sundress that is my favorite to wear in the summer!
The print is sweet and pretty, and I don't even mind that this dress is midi length.
I usually go for Maxi or mini, but I find that boots look great with this dress.
They add a fun element to a midi length style.
For this fun look I added my favorite feather choker from Child of Wild.
Instead of buying 20 pieces of jewelry at once for cheap,
I save up my money for quality jewelry pieces.
If your looking for something you can't find anywhere else
I suggest you check out Child of Wild for cutting edge jewelry.
I'm looking forward to wearing dresses every single day this summer!
Each year that goes by I love getting dressed up more and more.

Velvet Sunset

Happy Memorial Day weekend!! Its finally time to enjoy the outdoors this year.
This holiday weekend I decided to relax,go hiking,
and most importantly enjoy a few good barbecues!!
Velvet can be a winter look to wear, but when I saw this lavender velvet at the fabric store
I knew I had to to have a cute short sleeve top made out of it.
I sewed this amazing short sleeve velvet blouse for my spring and summer wardrobe!
Its a nice light weight velvet and the color is incredible!!
Enjoy your 3 day weekend and Happy Friday!!

Medieval Times

Perhaps the prairie dress trend was just that..A
trend, but I still love wearing it!!!
I enjoy the romance of a loose floral printed maxi skirt,
and those laced up bodices that are straight out of a fairytale!!
This is quite a unique piece I discovered!
While browsing through a vintage shop I found this unusually green colored dress.
To me this looks to be a Gunnesax dress that had been dyed green.
I think its awesome! I love the green color.
The burgundy velvet trim looks almost royal from a Medieval time period.
I took it to Ireland with me and did an incredible shoot by this big beautiful lake.
I felt like a Princess in this dress!
This summer I'm going to try to make a few prairie inspired looks for myself.
I need more maxi skirts in a lot more colors!
I know by this point we have had way too many trends thrown at us.
The key is to take your favorite looks and mix and match them to what is uniquely you.
Happy Styling!

Spring Break

How good does the beginning of March feel??!
I thought the winter was never going to come to an end.
Technically its still winter but the temperature has definitely gone up on the East Coast.
I've been in the mood for more beach!
I find that fringe is such a fun little design detail in swimwear!
It gives a rock and roll edge to a plain bikini or one piece suit.
I decided to style this cute fringed bikini bottom with a cropped fringe tee I happen to have!
I love the olive green color of this tee.
Olive green and Army green have been my 2 favorite colors to wear lately.
I find that any neutral color like brown, beige or black matches Olive real well.
I love how this look came out!
I try as hard as I can to turn my beach wear into a style statement.
It can be a challenge at times  considering theres not much to beach wear.
The official start of Spring is only a few weeks away!
Have a happy and healthy spring break loves!

Denim Nostalgia

Denim has that Vintage vibe about it that makes it timeless!
Theres nothing I love more than a cute Denim dress!
This one is very detailed with princess seams and chunky metal buttons down the front.
I loved using my very own backyard for this photo shoot.
I figured my very own garage would be a great backdrop for the vibe of this denim dress.
Collecting Vintage Denim has been a hobby of mine for about 5 years now.
I have Denim hobo bags, vintage denim cutoffs, patchwork skirts, and only a few denim dresses.
I've found in my thrifting travels denim dresses are few and far between.
When I do find them I snatch them up immediately!
This dress brought back great memories & nostalgia of the past,
as vintage clothing should always do.
