Embroidered Oaxacan Vibes

Embroidered loose cotton dresses are the best way to spend these last few weeks of summer..
I think Embroidered Mexican Oaxacan Dresses
are some of the most comfortable dresses to wear!
They simply slip over the head and are usually made of cotton.
Oaxacan dresses are very timeless pieces to wear
Whats so great about these dresses is that each one is a work of art!
They've all been hand embroidered in Mexico, and the colors are so rich!!
They really have no specific period in history as to when they were popular.
I think these dresses would be ideal to wear to a Festival, or Party.
Their awesome for the clothing collector as well.
I love to add a few pieces of
turquoise and silver to give it that Southwestern Boho feel.
I can't imagine how many hours of work that goes into creating each dress.
As a matter of fact, Embroidered Oaxacan dresses have inspired me to learn how to embroider!
I'd love to keep seeing more of these handcrafted bohemian dresses in the industry!
Its great to know that some of that hand craftsmanship still exists in fashion today.

My Everyday Look

During the dog days of summer there are days when I just want to kick back and be comfortable.
When I go to work I throw my hair up in a messy bun, and dress in very loose clothes..
I do a ton of work at the computer for a living, mostly with photography…
It takes hours to edit photos but I love it!!!
For a job where you sit for hours I find that big loose dresses always work the best!!!
I found this incredible embroidered boho dress at shabbybabe. Its awesome!!
It has a beautiful ruffled hem, and embroidered abstract floral designs.
I accessorized it with my favorite bag!
I bought this leather backpack from
The leather store on Etsy and Its one of the most beautiful purses I've ever owned!!
It has lots of room for almost anything, and its high quality leather.
I can fit my I pad, lunch, water bottles, and a makeup bag all in this one backpack.
The best part is,is that its a light brown color that matches anything!
To finish up this look I threw on my new pair of Gladiator sandals!
I bought these gladiator sandals off of Amazon.com
They fit perfectly!
I know with gladiator sandals if the straps aren't tight enough it can become a problem.
The straps on these sandals are adjustable
so you can customize the fit to whatever your needs are.
This is pretty much how I dress for work everyday!
Its a fast, easy, and very stylish everyday look!

Prairie Girl

Last week I was out having a sunset picnic by this gorgeous lake,
and I wanted to look fabulous without being too dressed up or dressed down.
When it comes to the Prairie Girl look I like to go for separates…
I'm not always in the mood to wear full dresses.
Separates takes a dressy look and tones it down a bit…
I just bought this adorable gathered off the shoulder crop top from Free people.
This top matches everything and is very casual for everyday wear.
I grabbed my favorite Army green skirt and put a chunky suede leather belt from shabbybabe with it.
I also discovered this incredible tooled leather bag from shabbybabe!
 Tooled leather is gorgeous!
I love all the intricate designs that's in tooled leather.
I got this big beautiful black hat from Bloomingdale's
Its the ideal picnic prairie girl hat!
Since I never get to wear boots with skirts,
I threw on my Jeffrey Campbell black lace up letter boots to finish the look.
The results were fantastic! I got all sorts of compliments on this look!
Separates are tricky to put together but they give your wardrobe more options and looks to play with.
