Shredded

Once in a while we find those truly unique dresses that we never new existed!
I've never seen a design like this one before…
Its a Tee shirt inspired dress that's shredded.
I think its the most awesome dress I've ever seen…
The dress is made of a knit fabric that slips over the head, and hangs loosely on the body…
Its a truly fun piece to wear! I get compliments on this dress all the time.
The shredded texture is what makes the statement…
Its boho and grunge combined. I wish I had one of these in every color!
Id say this dress is a work of art..
If your looking to make a creative statement this dress is the one for you!

Wind Swept Flannel

Changing leaves, golden sunsets, and warm and soft plaid flannel tops
are what the Fall season is made of!
I have so much fun wearing these plaid flannels…
Theres a huge variety of mixing and matching you can do with them…
Their great with crop tops, shorts, jeans, leather pants, you name it!
When I was in California we stopped in Cambria along the way to LA…
I stayed at a cute little inn on Moonstone beach…
For the one night I was there I decided to shoot a few tops!
This plaid flannel from Shabbybabe was my favorite top to shoot that day…
Its a mustard green and robins egg blue plaid print…
It matches white cropped tees so well!
It was rather chilly on the beach that evening so this grunge flannel shirt came in handy!
Their great to wear on the beach too!
Lets face it…Sometimes there are days when
you'd prefer to wear a cute top to stay warm than an over sized jacket.
The large vintage plaid flannels truly serve that purpose…
I seriously need a bunch more of these plaid flannel tops in my wardrobe.
Its starting to get colder and I need a few more soft warm shirts to snuggle up into.

Patchwork Babydoll Grunge

The fall is a time of transition….
There comes a change in lifestyle, schedule, and even the weather!
Its frustrating dressing around the changing weather..
In the fall season Its warm during the day, and much cooler at night!
So how do we address these wardrobe problems that come with the change of seasons???
We layer, and shop for dresses to suit our needs.
Grunge dresses suit those needs for fall.
I'm convinced that's why 90s grunge has never really gone out of style.
These dresses have the whole package!
Their long enough to dress for cool and warm weather,
the floral prints suit every season,
and their fast and easy to change into. You get out of bed and slip it on….
Most grunge dresses have that feature of being loose, easy, casual, and comfortable…

This dress from Shabbybabe is such a unique patchwork print and design.
The dress has a loose baby doll silhouette, and
navy blue is such a beautiful color to wear during the fall!
I adore the large floral print combined with the small ditsy floral print.
With these kinds of patchwork baby doll dresses
never be afraid to throw those knee high leather boots on with it!
I'm probably going to wear these Jeffrey Campbell boots out this winter.
I bought these boots last winter and fell in love!
They don't have a really high heel and you can wear these boots with jeans or dresses.
I think its important to keep getting dressed up in the colder months of fall and winter.
It keeps us feeling good, beautiful, and like the goddesses we know we are!

Teenage Grunge Babe

I can't believe its already September 1st!
I'm still in shock how fast the summer flew by..
For a lot of us it means time for back to school shopping!
For the next few months its all about transitional pieces for Summer into the fall.
During the fall I love to wear vintage tees, Cut up denim shorts/jeans, and of course boots!
I was going through my closet and I found my favorite pair of Denim cut offs from H&M and this awesome vintage Mickey Mouse Tee from Shabbybabe
Its a faded cotton candy pink with a Mickey Mouse and Mini Mouse Dynamic Duo logo.
I love these vintage tees!
They have such character and personality to them.
Vintage tees are one of my favorite vintage clothing items to collect.
To accent the pink vintage tee and the faded denim shorts,
I grabbed this hot pink and black studded belt from Hot Topic to belt with the shorts!
I loved the end result!

All this look needed was a few interesting accessories.
These black leather Jeffrey Campbell lace up boots are one of the most versatile pairs of shoes I own!
These boots pull off so many different looks.
With these boots you can pull off a boho chic look, grunge, rocker, or even a gypsy look.
My favorite feature about them is that they go over the knee and have a fitted look!
This black pleather handcuff bag is actually from a trip I took to Japan!
I bought it at Shibuya 109 which is an amazing department store!!
For the longest time I was trying to find an outfit to put with this tote bag,
and I think it goes pretty well with this vintage tee and the denim cut offs.
My opinion is this fall have fun with separates and try doing some mix and match with
a few vintage pieces paired with denim.
Happy September 1st everyone!

Grunge Girl

High Leather boots, Full Rayon Dresses, and a summer evening in the Park is how Ive been spending my Friday nights.
Theres an air of romance to 80s and 90s Nostalgia.
When alternative rock music ruled the scene, and history saw the last of truly great rock music.
Gone are the days of Grunge, but not from my wardrobe…
I have a closet packed with so many Vintage 90s Grunge dresses! Its insane!
There are so many different styles, colors and prints of 90s Grunge!!!
This maxi dress from Shabbybabe is my latest find!
Its Hunter green with a cream windowpane print.
Its a coverall style that buttons down the front and has a loose fit. Its so cute!
With these grunge dresses I always throw on a pair of knee high leather boots.
The boots I'm wearing here are by Jeffrey Campbell for Free People.
I wear these Jeffrey Campbell leather boots with everything!!!
Another great styling tip for the coverall grunge dresses is to wear a soft camisole underneath.
It gives the dresses a modern feel and I always unbutton the front buttons up to the thigh.
That's how I take 90s Grunge dresses into the year 2015.
