Patchwork Babydoll Grunge

The fall is a time of transition….
There comes a change in lifestyle, schedule, and even the weather!
Its frustrating dressing around the changing weather..
In the fall season Its warm during the day, and much cooler at night!
So how do we address these wardrobe problems that come with the change of seasons???
We layer, and shop for dresses to suit our needs.
Grunge dresses suit those needs for fall.
I'm convinced that's why 90s grunge has never really gone out of style.
These dresses have the whole package!
Their long enough to dress for cool and warm weather,
the floral prints suit every season,
and their fast and easy to change into. You get out of bed and slip it on….
Most grunge dresses have that feature of being loose, easy, casual, and comfortable…

This dress from Shabbybabe is such a unique patchwork print and design.
The dress has a loose baby doll silhouette, and
navy blue is such a beautiful color to wear during the fall!
I adore the large floral print combined with the small ditsy floral print.
With these kinds of patchwork baby doll dresses
never be afraid to throw those knee high leather boots on with it!
I'm probably going to wear these Jeffrey Campbell boots out this winter.
I bought these boots last winter and fell in love!
They don't have a really high heel and you can wear these boots with jeans or dresses.
I think its important to keep getting dressed up in the colder months of fall and winter.
It keeps us feeling good, beautiful, and like the goddesses we know we are!

San Francisco To Los Angeles: The Epic Road Trip

I've just returned from the most epic road trip of my life!
I've been traveling from San Francisco to LA for the past 2 weeks!
It was an insane road trip and quite an eye opener!
This was my first time exploring the West Coast of the United states.
Only one word comes to mind when explaining what I saw: BEAUTIFUL!!!
I was surrounded by mountains, golden sunsets, and gorgeous coastlines!!!
It took a while for me to get used to.
I'm from the East Coast….

NJ Suburbia, NYC, and Cold winters is what I look at every day….
It has its pros and cons…. I love NYC, but the winters are brutal!!!
We have shores and beaches but not like California does!!!
I loved the wild life I saw there!
 I saw sea lions,Elephant seals,otters,pelicans,
and the list goes on and on!
Along my journey I stopped in
Monterey,Carmel, Big sur, Cambria, LA, and Huntington Beach!

Every 3-4 days I was up and out to a new destination in California….
On my epic road trip I stopped to photo some amazing looks
I put together before the big trip!
For the next few weeks(or months)
you'll be seeing a few West coast inspired look books I shot in California.
I'll never forget this trip! It was life changing for me!
I met so many cool people and saw so many places that inspired me spiritually.
I can now finally share what I saw and experienced with you too!

Angel Wings

What is it about the symbol of angel wings that makes us feel so free?
I think its because Angels symbolize
a strong and powerful free energy that can conquer the toughest of times.
I'm a huge believer in angels! I think they follow us everywhere we go.
This metallic cropped jacket inspired me to write about it.
At first I had no idea this vintage 80s jacket had angel wings on it till I put it on!
The back of this acid wash denim jacket has a silver metallic angel wing design.
Its beautiful! The jacket is tight and fitted around the waist and looser on top.
Its lightweight enough that it could be worn on a 70 degree day as a cover up too.
I love the biker angel wing design features this has!
The denim cut off shorts went so well with this 80s jacket.
Then of course I had to pair it with my over the knee leather boots.
All and all This jacket would be great to wear pretty much anywhere!
Its casual enough to wear with jeans and dressy enough to put with a leather skirt.
I love to write about how to wear the fall transitional pieces because I think a lot of us get confused when it comes to layering and wearing separates.
Its definitely a challenge to figure these things out sometimes.
Hopefully these look books help with inspiring new looks for you in the future!

Teenage Grunge Babe

I can't believe its already September 1st!
I'm still in shock how fast the summer flew by..
For a lot of us it means time for back to school shopping!
For the next few months its all about transitional pieces for Summer into the fall.
During the fall I love to wear vintage tees, Cut up denim shorts/jeans, and of course boots!
I was going through my closet and I found my favorite pair of Denim cut offs from H&M and this awesome vintage Mickey Mouse Tee from Shabbybabe
Its a faded cotton candy pink with a Mickey Mouse and Mini Mouse Dynamic Duo logo.
I love these vintage tees!
They have such character and personality to them.
Vintage tees are one of my favorite vintage clothing items to collect.
To accent the pink vintage tee and the faded denim shorts,
I grabbed this hot pink and black studded belt from Hot Topic to belt with the shorts!
I loved the end result!

All this look needed was a few interesting accessories.
These black leather Jeffrey Campbell lace up boots are one of the most versatile pairs of shoes I own!
These boots pull off so many different looks.
With these boots you can pull off a boho chic look, grunge, rocker, or even a gypsy look.
My favorite feature about them is that they go over the knee and have a fitted look!
This black pleather handcuff bag is actually from a trip I took to Japan!
I bought it at Shibuya 109 which is an amazing department store!!
For the longest time I was trying to find an outfit to put with this tote bag,
and I think it goes pretty well with this vintage tee and the denim cut offs.
My opinion is this fall have fun with separates and try doing some mix and match with
a few vintage pieces paired with denim.
Happy September 1st everyone!
