Breath of Summer

90s Grunge is one of my favorite time periods in fashion!
Those free flowing rayon dresses were all over the place during every summer of the 1990s.
I must have 50 of them hanging in my closet!!
This tired ruffle knee length floral dress is my favorite!!
I love the garden floral print and the big wide skirt.
This is a very loose sundress. I enjoy the bigger less fitted sundresses.
They feel so good on those 90 degree days when jeans or even shorts are too confining.
I decided to throw on this dress for a quick walk in the park last week.
I got so many compliments! Instead of wearing a plain pair of sandals with this look,
I used my gladiator sandals instead.
I love these sandals!!
Gladiator sandals have such a unique look about them.
All and all this is one of my favorite looks to wear in the summertime!

Embroidered Oaxacan Vibes

Embroidered loose cotton dresses are the best way to spend these last few weeks of summer..
I think Embroidered Mexican Oaxacan Dresses
are some of the most comfortable dresses to wear!
They simply slip over the head and are usually made of cotton.
Oaxacan dresses are very timeless pieces to wear
Whats so great about these dresses is that each one is a work of art!
They've all been hand embroidered in Mexico, and the colors are so rich!!
They really have no specific period in history as to when they were popular.
I think these dresses would be ideal to wear to a Festival, or Party.
Their awesome for the clothing collector as well.
I love to add a few pieces of
turquoise and silver to give it that Southwestern Boho feel.
I can't imagine how many hours of work that goes into creating each dress.
As a matter of fact, Embroidered Oaxacan dresses have inspired me to learn how to embroider!
I'd love to keep seeing more of these handcrafted bohemian dresses in the industry!
Its great to know that some of that hand craftsmanship still exists in fashion today.

Bohemian Fairytale..

Theres something about boho peasant dresses that makes me feel like I'm living in a fairytale when I put one on… I love it!
Bohemian clothing is so beautiful, feminine, and filled with fantasy at the same time…
This dress from shabbybabe is spectacular!!
I wouldn't think that bright yellow, brown, and orange would look so outstanding!
I'm used to boho dresses being in neutral colors like white or beige.
I love the bold bright colors!!
This dress is so perfect to wear to a festival, party, or just for a personal clothing collection.
It has rows and rows of gathering, peasant sleeves, and an abstract border design skirt.
I threw on an authentic 1970s boho leather belt from shabbybabe..
It was just what this outfit needed! The neutral boho leather belt gave the dress some balance.
This has to be one of my favorite looks I ever put together!
I'm in love with the color story.
We often don't give the brighter colors a chance in our wardrobe,
but this dress has inspired me to wear more brighter bolder colors and prints.
This dress is a true bohemian work of art.

Golden Hour

Its been all about color for me in my wardrobe this summer! I think one of the problems most of us have is, we get into a pattern of wearing black and white over, and over, and over again.  We do it so often we forget about the rich palette of colors available to us out there. I like to wear a bright colors like orange and style it with neutral accessories to balance it out. Brown goes great with sunset colors like orange and yellow. I took this cute little tube dress from Shabbybabe and put a wide vintage leather belt around the waist. I also accessorized the dress with a vintage 70s weaved bag.  I loved the end result! I could still wear orange and not look too loud with color. Red and black work beautifully together, so does pink and white, the list goes on and on..
Wide leather belts from the late 60s and early 70s add a real edge to a simple outfit as well. I wear this brown leather belt with everything! Its one of those accessories that matches any outfit! Nobody even knows its vintage. People stop me on the street and compliment me on how they wish they could find a belt just like it. The best part about vintage is that there is nothing like it! Each piece is unique and special. I think that's what fashion should be all about. A wardrobe unique to you of one of a kind pieces nobody else has. That's what self expression through dressing is all about.

Soul on Fire

Shades of orange and yellow remind us of sunsets, fire, and heat..
They are the colors of love and celebration..
I instantly fell in love with this dress from shabbybabe when I saw it for the first time!!!
The bodice has orange lace with corset like lacing going down the front..
Then the dress flares out into this beautiful full skirt design that I love!
When you put this gypsy dress on you instantly feel like a bohemian goddess!
I can't explain it,but big full boho dresses always make you feel beautiful and powerful!
I accessorized the dress with a boho leather conch belt from shabbybabe, and these Jeffrey Campbell boho boots from Free People.
Go through your closet throw on a beautiful dress and set your soul on fire!

Free Bird

The best part about dressing for the beach are those gorgeous bikini cover ups we get to wear and of course showing a little skin!…
Since summers so short I make sure to visit the beach every week.
Instead of going for the traditional bikini coverups I went for this sheer rayon boho tunic top from Shabbybabe
It has slits on each side that drape beautifully when it gets a little windy on the beach.
The tunic also has embroidery and small mirrored embellishments to add a little glam.
Since its also in a neutral color it matches pretty much any color swimsuit.
I paired it with a bikini form Victorias Secret, and a few belts from Shabbybabe
The boho jewelry is from my personal Collection.
Have fun this summer and get to the beach while you can!
