Patchwork Heart

I've always loved the look of Blue Denim patchwork!
Patchwork is a look and an art form that goes hundreds of years back.
Its such a classic look we still wear it today.
While at the beach during sunset, it tends to get a little chilly at times.
I have this 70s blue leather patchwork sweater that I put on over my shorts and bikini.
It was just the right outfit to bring that day.
I love this sweater because it can be boho, grunge, hippie you name it.
The sweater can be a sweater dress or a tunic top.
Its a fantastic layering piece.
For this shoot, I wore the sweater with knee high leather boots for more of a grunge effect.
It would look great with gladiator sandals as well.
Blue is one of my favorite colors to wear,
so I love that its all different shades and textures of blue.
I finished the look with a choker of course!
I love chokers because they look great on my small frame.
Not to mention you can wear them with anything,
their very versatile like that.
This look has inspired to start collecting even more patchwork for my wardrobe!
I can't get enough of this look.

Kawaii Bear Adventure

Theres Something about a hand knit sweater that just makes you feel
warm, cozy, and special every time you wear it!
I love those clothes that are handmade with love.
I make sure to support the handmade/Crafting industry for that reason.
There are so many talented people out there with amazing skill sets selling unique gorgeous pieces.
I think its important to have a whole stash of sweaters this winter!
Especially if your from a colder climate like me!
This cute Teddy bear sweater is entirely hand knit!
Its so soft and beautiful.
I fell in love with the soft pastels in this Shabbybabe sweater!
Its pink with a teddy bear which is perfect for me because I'm the ultimate girly girl.
I also love Kawaii style clothing which this reminds me of.
I don't know why,but in the winter its more uplifting for me to put on pinks, blues, reds, and lavenders…
With soft pastel colors like this teddy bear sweater,
I have fun making it edgier by putting it with leather accessories.
That soft/hard look is perfect for a sweater like this one…
I just bought these leather shorts over the summer from H&M but had no shirt to put with them.
The pink Kawaii style sweater works perfectly.
I've  also been addicted to Vidakush for their edgy and unique accessories selection.
So I put my Vidakush Gold loop choker with it to complete the look, with a messy ponytail.
Hopefully your now a little more style inspired to  begin the winter.
Its the toughest time of year,
but with a few fun wardrobe suggestions we'll all make it through this season.

Shredded

Once in a while we find those truly unique dresses that we never new existed!
I've never seen a design like this one before…
Its a Tee shirt inspired dress that's shredded.
I think its the most awesome dress I've ever seen…
The dress is made of a knit fabric that slips over the head, and hangs loosely on the body…
Its a truly fun piece to wear! I get compliments on this dress all the time.
The shredded texture is what makes the statement…
Its boho and grunge combined. I wish I had one of these in every color!
Id say this dress is a work of art..
If your looking to make a creative statement this dress is the one for you!

Teenage Grunge Babe

I can't believe its already September 1st!
I'm still in shock how fast the summer flew by..
For a lot of us it means time for back to school shopping!
For the next few months its all about transitional pieces for Summer into the fall.
During the fall I love to wear vintage tees, Cut up denim shorts/jeans, and of course boots!
I was going through my closet and I found my favorite pair of Denim cut offs from H&M and this awesome vintage Mickey Mouse Tee from Shabbybabe
Its a faded cotton candy pink with a Mickey Mouse and Mini Mouse Dynamic Duo logo.
I love these vintage tees!
They have such character and personality to them.
Vintage tees are one of my favorite vintage clothing items to collect.
To accent the pink vintage tee and the faded denim shorts,
I grabbed this hot pink and black studded belt from Hot Topic to belt with the shorts!
I loved the end result!

All this look needed was a few interesting accessories.
These black leather Jeffrey Campbell lace up boots are one of the most versatile pairs of shoes I own!
These boots pull off so many different looks.
With these boots you can pull off a boho chic look, grunge, rocker, or even a gypsy look.
My favorite feature about them is that they go over the knee and have a fitted look!
This black pleather handcuff bag is actually from a trip I took to Japan!
I bought it at Shibuya 109 which is an amazing department store!!
For the longest time I was trying to find an outfit to put with this tote bag,
and I think it goes pretty well with this vintage tee and the denim cut offs.
My opinion is this fall have fun with separates and try doing some mix and match with
a few vintage pieces paired with denim.
Happy September 1st everyone!

Boho Butterfly

Its so important to be able to breathe and feel comfortable in our summer clothes!
I went on a beautiful stroll last weekend
through a meadow and forest on top of a mountain and boy was it hot!
I was so lucky to be wearing a rayon dress that day.
I feel like the best fibers to wear in the summer months are cotton & rayon.
The natural fibers are breathable,
and when wearing a dress like this one,
your left feeling comfy and loose throughout the day like a boho butterfly.
I don't know about you but I can't live without my 5 or 6 rayon maxi dresses for the summer.
Their great for pretty much every occasion like
Barbeque's,a trip to the beach,a walk in the park, and even a sunset picnic in the meadow.
This boho maxi dress from shabbybabe is so comfortable.
It has pleated skirting, and buttons down the front…
I love to unbutton the first few buttons in the front near the hem for added comfort.
This dress was great to hike in, to picnic in, and to run errands in.
I always try to dress up as much as I can when the weathers warm.
Where I come from the winters are brutal.
I'm stuck in sweaters and jeans for 6 months at a time.
I'm making the most of whats left of the summer, and dressing like a boho butterfly everyday.
I'm definitely not looking forward to the cold weather in November through March.
