Sunset Prairie

There's nothing I love more than to see excellent craftsmanship return to clothing.
Shabbybabe is releasing a line of vintage inspired designs.
Each piece is limited edition.
This off the shoulder peasant dress is one of my favorites from the new collection.
Its a fitted off the shoulder peasant top that flares out to a wide skirting.
The dress is made from cotton eyelet, and has a cute blue floral trim along the hemline.
What I love the most about this dress is the princess seams!
The princess seams give this dress a great fit and flare.
When wearing this dress its important to wear some amazing jewelry to go with it.
I'm in love with this choker from Vidakush! It matches just about anything.
I topped the look off with a few of my favorite bracelets and rings.
Shop shabbybabe.com to see even more of the limited edition collection!

Hopeless Romantic

Valentines Day is just 1 day away!
I think in the middle of February,
we all need just a hint of romance to get out of the winter blues.
This silk chiffon sunset floral dress is a statement of romance!
I love the butterfly sleeves and plunging neckline.
The dress is fitted around the waist and hips, and flares into layers of sheer silk floral heaven.
I had a lot of fun in this dress dancing around the beach on a windy day.
These photos truly captured the drape and design of it.
I hope everyone has a happy Valentines day this year.
Even if you don't have a valentine, treat yourself to some romance this weekend with
flowers, chocolates, and a romantic floral dress.

Patchwork Heart

I've always loved the look of Blue Denim patchwork!
Patchwork is a look and an art form that goes hundreds of years back.
Its such a classic look we still wear it today.
While at the beach during sunset, it tends to get a little chilly at times.
I have this 70s blue leather patchwork sweater that I put on over my shorts and bikini.
It was just the right outfit to bring that day.
I love this sweater because it can be boho, grunge, hippie you name it.
The sweater can be a sweater dress or a tunic top.
Its a fantastic layering piece.
For this shoot, I wore the sweater with knee high leather boots for more of a grunge effect.
It would look great with gladiator sandals as well.
Blue is one of my favorite colors to wear,
so I love that its all different shades and textures of blue.
I finished the look with a choker of course!
I love chokers because they look great on my small frame.
Not to mention you can wear them with anything,
their very versatile like that.
This look has inspired to start collecting even more patchwork for my wardrobe!
I can't get enough of this look.

New Years Resolution

A brand new year awaits us!
There's always a new years resolution along with the new year.
My resolution is to experience new adventures, and to keep on living the life of a bohemian.
One of the highlights of 2015 was my amazing trip to California!!
I'm hoping in 2016 I can return to Hawaii…
I visited there once in 2014, and it was gorgeous!
I can't wait to go back…
Although the gloominess and cold weather of January is about to strike,
theres no reason why I can't keep dressing like its Island weather!
Every time I open my closet to look at This tie dye dress, it always brightens my day.
This is a sheer pastel pin rayon mini dress from Shabbybabe.
I love how it buttons down the front and it has cute capped butterfly sleeves.
The length of the dress is just right too.
Sometimes mini dresses can be too short, or too long.
I'm 5'10" so its hard for me to find a mini dress that's not really short.
I love to give soft girly dresses an edge with the accessories.
I threw on my favorite concho choker from Vidakush to go with the dress.
I love boots so I paired my tan leather Jeffrey Campbell boots to go with this look.
I'm looking forward to having a fresh start to a brand new year.
I wish you all a happy, healthy, and awesome new year to come!!!

Kawaii Bear Adventure

Theres Something about a hand knit sweater that just makes you feel
warm, cozy, and special every time you wear it!
I love those clothes that are handmade with love.
I make sure to support the handmade/Crafting industry for that reason.
There are so many talented people out there with amazing skill sets selling unique gorgeous pieces.
I think its important to have a whole stash of sweaters this winter!
Especially if your from a colder climate like me!
This cute Teddy bear sweater is entirely hand knit!
Its so soft and beautiful.
I fell in love with the soft pastels in this Shabbybabe sweater!
Its pink with a teddy bear which is perfect for me because I'm the ultimate girly girl.
I also love Kawaii style clothing which this reminds me of.
I don't know why,but in the winter its more uplifting for me to put on pinks, blues, reds, and lavenders…
With soft pastel colors like this teddy bear sweater,
I have fun making it edgier by putting it with leather accessories.
That soft/hard look is perfect for a sweater like this one…
I just bought these leather shorts over the summer from H&M but had no shirt to put with them.
The pink Kawaii style sweater works perfectly.
I've  also been addicted to Vidakush for their edgy and unique accessories selection.
So I put my Vidakush Gold loop choker with it to complete the look, with a messy ponytail.
Hopefully your now a little more style inspired to  begin the winter.
Its the toughest time of year,
but with a few fun wardrobe suggestions we'll all make it through this season.
