Plaid Flannel Fun

I love to get dressed up in gorgeous dresses,
and love to wear bright abstract prints!
Although I do have those days when I like to kick back and be casual too.
Lately I love the look of a plaid flannel shirt!
You can wear it with shorts, jeans, leggings, and even sweat pants.
Theres something so classic looking about a plaid flannel shirt too.
All of the flannels I own are men's flannels.
They are just better made in my opinion.
The men's flannel shirts have better tailoring, better plaid prints, and look better!
Even during the summer time when it gets cold at night,
my flannels always come in handy!
I like to wear them as beach cover ups over my bikini in the summer months as well.
The plaid flannel is a wardrobe must have for me.
I wear them all year round, which I can't say for any of my other wardrobe pieces.
While shooting at this beach during sunset it got so cold.
This blue and white flannel made shooting so much more cozy.
I made the look a little bit more playful with my New York Yankees baseball cap and my Jeffrey Campbell leather boots.

Street Style

I found the most amazing Graffiti wall the other day!!
After driving by it a few times I felt inspired to shoot a few looks by the wall.
As I've probably mentioned in my other posts I love bright colors!
Buffalo plaids are a great way to wear reds, blues, yellows, and even bright pinks…
Its is such a classic print!!
I just discovered Buffalo plaids this year!
Never before have I had it in my fall wardrobe…
The large checkered print looks great on everyone…
I was so lucky to find this cute little wool jacket from Shabbybabe
I never see these anywhere!
I can't even find these in the mainstream clothing stores…
I see a lot of buffalo plaid shirts but not jackets…
I hate wearing big long winter coats when its only 65 degrees outside.
It was a little bit cold while shooting by this wall, and
The jacket came in so handy for the shoot!
I love the tailoring..
Tailoring always makes a jacket look and fit better.
This cute jacket can probably be unisex as well..
It'd look great on guys and girls!!
I finished the outfit with another one of my favorite pairs of boots and simple dark blue denim jeans.
A simple yet casual Fall look.

Wind Swept Flannel

Changing leaves, golden sunsets, and warm and soft plaid flannel tops
are what the Fall season is made of!
I have so much fun wearing these plaid flannels…
Theres a huge variety of mixing and matching you can do with them…
Their great with crop tops, shorts, jeans, leather pants, you name it!
When I was in California we stopped in Cambria along the way to LA…
I stayed at a cute little inn on Moonstone beach…
For the one night I was there I decided to shoot a few tops!
This plaid flannel from Shabbybabe was my favorite top to shoot that day…
Its a mustard green and robins egg blue plaid print…
It matches white cropped tees so well!
It was rather chilly on the beach that evening so this grunge flannel shirt came in handy!
Their great to wear on the beach too!
Lets face it…Sometimes there are days when
you'd prefer to wear a cute top to stay warm than an over sized jacket.
The large vintage plaid flannels truly serve that purpose…
I seriously need a bunch more of these plaid flannel tops in my wardrobe.
Its starting to get colder and I need a few more soft warm shirts to snuggle up into.
