Jungle Fever

I love to look a little tribal when I hit the beach!
A little bit of the non traditional is always refreshing when it comes to fashion.
When picking out a swimsuit for myself, color is very important to me..
I'm not naturally olive in skin tone,
so I always need to be prepared for days when I'm a little paler.
I find that colors like green, purple, and pink
look great on my naturally fair skin skin if their a bit more neutral.
I've had this army green swimsuit for almost 2 years now.
I love it because it has a jungle girl feel about it.
The swimsuit has halter straps that are little snake motifs.
Its so cute!
I had this vintage silk tiered ruffle skirt that matched the exact shade of olive green as my bikini.
This skirt was such a great beach cover up! Its a bit short to wear every day,
but for the beach it was perfect!
I love the way the California sunset captured the colors in these photos.
Get out there and enjoy the beach! Summer is  way too short.

White Wedding

In case you were wondering, this isn't a blog post about my wedding haha.
I'm not married or engaged yet, but this dress and photo shoot put me in the bridal mood!
I adore this dress from Shabbybabe because it can be so many things!
Depending on how you style it and where your going,
this dress can be used for bridal or just a nice maxi to wear to the beach.
Its made of cotton eyelet...I love the sweetheart neckline, and halter straps.
It has princess seams that fit and flare for added fabric around the hemline.
I enjoyed this shoot! I headed up to upstate New York to a gorgeous park.
I was surrounded by acres and acres of green grass and mountains.
This would be the ideal location for wedding photos
if you happen to live in or around Upstate New York.
I styled this dress with a faux blue Turquoise necklace.
The necklace really popped against the long white maxi dress!
Hopefully this will inspire you with some beautiful photo ideas if your a bride to be!

Summer Jam

Memorial day is only a few days away!
After suffering through a long exhausting winter,
I'm so thrilled the unofficial start of summer is around the corner.
To start summer out right,
I always need a few new sundresses to wear.
Its hard for me to find a really cute sundress.
Some of them are too short, or the fabric isn't right.
My most favorite dress is this red paisley cotton mini from Shabbybabe!
Its made of 100% cotton that is very light weight.
I love the richness of the color in this dress.
Its a deep berry red.
It's  low cut and has a plunging back neckline which I love!
The dress slips over the head and is gathered at the bust.
Its a flattering dress for any figure type.
I'm involve with this dress because its a day to night style!
Its great to wear to a casual picnic, and perfect to wear on a date night as well.
I spent a day last week strolling around a gorgeous Victorian estate in this little dress, and
I got so many compliments!
Theres nothing I love more than a cute, comfy, sundress.

Japanese Silk

Being the beach addict I am, I'm constantly shopping for jewelry, bikinis, and cover ups!
I've recently gotten into wearing Kimonos for beach cover ups.
I think theres something so unique about wearing a kimono over your bikini!
Its much more fun than throwing on a t-shirt.
I shop for vintage Japanese Kimonos.
Most of the Japanese kimonos run large which is perfect!
They come in bright colors with gorgeous Asian prints.
Unfortunately the vintage Japanese kimonos can get expensive,
so I only have collected a few so far.
When I was at Huntington beach,
I wore my bright Fuchsia embroidered Asian robe as a cover up.
It was gorgeous!
This robe totally matched the Cali sunset in these photos!
It has golden floral embroidery, and a gold silk lining.
It looked great on over my bikini.
I didn't think this kimono was going to work but it worked out great!
Boho beach style never looked so good!
