Faux Fabulous!

Its hard to believe this is the last blog post of 2016!!
The year went by so fast!!
This blog has been a fun creative outlet for me this year!
I've enjoyed playing around with different looks and makeup for photography.
I also love sharing style with all of you!
Part of this long winter is switching up a puffer coat or wool coat for a faux one!
Faux is great for a New Years Eve Party or for Valentines day!
The texture and print give you that sparkle of movie star to any night out.
Its easy to wash and store too which is such a plus!
We all have those garments that need a cedar closet to keep moths away.
Storing clothes can become too high maintenance after a while.
Luckily with faux theres no need to worry about that!
This is a vintage gem I found thrifting.
It has a gorgeous retro red lining which is so fun!
This gorgeous chub coat looks good with jeans too!
With jeans I take this look from movie star to rock star.
For this look book I wanted to show the coat in a more glamorous style.
Enjoy, and have a fun, healthy, and Happy New Year!

New Years Extravaganza!

New Years Eve is one of the most fun nights to dress up glamorously!
I usually choose a long black dress with studs or sequins.
This New Years Eve I'll be wearing a gorgeous studded halter dress!
The front is studded in rhinestones and goes into a sexy Deep V plunging neckline.
It has a beautiful thigh high slit going up the front making it perfect for dancing and lounging.
Believe it or not this is a disco dress from the 1970s!
When trying it on I couldn't believe how contemporary it still looks today!
I love that the rhinestones are individually sewn on and not glued on.
When I put this in the washing machine I'll never have to worry about losing any of the stones.
Its a great all year round dress. This is a great look for the beach,a winter cocktail party, or even as something to wear to a wedding.
Remember to get glam this New Years Eve!!
Bring in 2017 feeling happy and fabulous!!!

Holiday Sparkle!

With the holidays comes a beautiful pallet of colors!
Silver, and gold mixed with red, fuchsia, emerald, ruby, and jeweled purple tones.
That's what inspired this post!
The holidays allows us to get dressed up in glitter once a year!
I know we usually view the holidays as a time of stress and overspending on gifts.
Well lets take a break for a second and admire the beauty!!
This entire outfit is vintage!!
I love vintage clothing because I admire the colors, fabrics, and workmanship of the past.
This metallic jacket is a vintage evening piece that I love!
Its so versatile,it can be worn with jeans, or a long evening dress!
The dress is a vintage 70s party dress. I love the color!
Mauve and metallic silver are 2 hues that go so well together.
This look turned out to be a brilliant mix of holiday sparkle!
I hope you sparkle as well this holiday season!
Take a break from all that stress to focus on yourself for a day
and become a shooting star.
Happy Holidays!

Glamorous winter

I've been putting my cold weather wardrobe together for weeks!
I live on the East coast so the winters here are long and grueling.
This year I wanted to go for more of a glam look.
Its hard to stay glamorous in freezing cold weather isn't it?
To save money I like to take my boots to the shoe maker for new soles and heels, and I thrift!
Its amazing what you can find thrifting.
That's how I found this coat.
Its a brown suede leather wrap coat.
The coat is fully lined and has a fur trimmed collar.
When I saw it I had to have it!!
Its very modern and wearable for a vintage piece.
I love that its a fall color scheme to wear with my brown leather boots.
I can't wait to wear a big oversize scarf and hat with this look!
Instead of getting bummed out this winter get glam!
Being a little glamorous is always up lifting.

Patchwork Leather Groove

I love the vintage coats of the 60s and 70s!
The tailoring was impeccable, design lines were figure flattering,
and the creativity was limitless.
Lately I've been into wearing trenches from the 70s.
In a lot of the vintage coats you see patchwork leather designs,
faux fur collars, and bright neon colors.
I was extremely lucky to find this treasure while thrifting.
Its the most elaborately detailed leather coat I've ever seen!
The coat has jewel toned pieces of patchwork throughout the garment.
Reds,greens,taupe's,and black,make it so sharp!
I don't know about you but,
double breasted coat closures are my favorite way to button up in the winter.
Theres something about the front double breasted coat that looks sleek and military.
I think on a woman its flattering as well because it truly shows off our hour glass figures.
This coat would be adorable with a mini dress and boots for evening!
Its a day to night piece.
I wish we could see beautiful design lines like this again.
I am forever inspired by the past.
