Retro Flare

I'm extremely picky when it comes to a fall and winter coat.
I'm in a coat from the middle of November to the beginning of April.
Its an item I wear everyday for almost six months of the year..
If I'm going to be stuck in a coat for that long I might as well have fun with it.
I'm crazy for the boldly printed retro coats from the 60s and 70s.
Fashion was so colorful and bold back then!!
A lot of the coats were trimmed in faux fur and flared out to A line silhouettes.
I've always had this vintage brown plaid coat but never wore it till recently.
Its a dress coat from the 60s/70s.
I wore it with over the knee boots from Chinese Laundry.
This coat makes an amazing statement!!
I think I may wear it for the holidays when I'm in NYC.
I feel like a queen when I put it on. Its beautifully tailored, lined, and very warm!
Winter fashion like these coats inspires me to simply enjoy the cold weather season.
There's no reason we still can't look fabulous during the colder and shorter days of winter.

Grunge Goddess

September to November are the transitional months for fashion!
I've been going all out grunge the past couple of weeks.
I discovered this fun rock and roll denim maxi skirt.
Its so hard to find one of these now!
I remember seeing them all over the place back in the 90s.
Denim skirts are so much fun to wear!
I love that you can put a vintage tee with them and still look great!
I decided to put my cropped union jack tee with this skirt.
This Union jack tee is from my own personal vintage collection.
Its one of my favorites!
I decided to go darker on my makeup for this look.
I'm wearing "Violetta" by Mac for my lipstick.
I love how the look came out.
I'll definitely be experimenting more with my beauty products as well as with style!!

Fairy Tale Sunset

What is it about wearing a peasant dress that makes us feel like we 're living in a fairy tale?
I've been making and wearing these peasant dresses all season long!
Its funny when you make one dress in a few different fabrics each one looks so different!
Light blue is one of my favorite colors.
I had to have a light blue sundress for the summer.
Off the shoulder has been my favorite neckline,
because it keeps you cool and looks so fairytale!
This is a simple cotton light weight sundress.
I didn't want to make this out of silk or a fancy printed cotton.
I think it came out beautiful!
In my opinion when it comes to fashion less is always more.
It has beautiful floral shaped metal buttons going down the front.
I love button down dresses because you can change up your look by unbuttoning or buttoning up.
I feel like a modern day Cinderella in this cute outfit!
It's Feminine and sweet...
