A Medieval Babe

Happy Spring Loves!!!
I know its been a while since I've posted...
I apologize for the long wait between posts...
March has been a crazy month!
I can't believe its the beginning of April already.
At the end of March I traveled to Ireland!
Its a place I've always wanted to see.
It wasn't until I arrived that I truly realized how much history is attached to the land.
There is a ton of Medieval history!
The small towns in Ireland still have cobble stone streets,
 and their castles still intact.
Its unbelievable to see a real life castle in person!!
I was lucky enough to get to take a tour of "Kilkenny Castle"
I went through the dungeons, and grand halls.
My favorite features of the castle were the gorgeous stain glass windows.
Kilkenny, Ireland has a true Medieval Gothic vibe to the city.
I dressed for the occasion. It was still a bit chilly but not cold enough I needed a winter coat.
I wore my leather biker jacket (A wardrobe essential of mine!)
My lace up leather boots, and leather skirt that I love!
I'm so glad I packed this skirt. It was so perfect for this trip!
I'm looking forward to traveling even more!!
There is nothing like traveling, bringing a piece of the culture home,
and making it apart of yours.

Spring Break

How good does the beginning of March feel??!
I thought the winter was never going to come to an end.
Technically its still winter but the temperature has definitely gone up on the East Coast.
I've been in the mood for more beach!
I find that fringe is such a fun little design detail in swimwear!
It gives a rock and roll edge to a plain bikini or one piece suit.
I decided to style this cute fringed bikini bottom with a cropped fringe tee I happen to have!
I love the olive green color of this tee.
Olive green and Army green have been my 2 favorite colors to wear lately.
I find that any neutral color like brown, beige or black matches Olive real well.
I love how this look came out!
I try as hard as I can to turn my beach wear into a style statement.
It can be a challenge at times  considering theres not much to beach wear.
The official start of Spring is only a few weeks away!
Have a happy and healthy spring break loves!

Small Boutique Fashion Week 2017

I was so lucky to get to attend Small Boutique Fashion week 2017!!
It was my first time this year going to a NYC Fashion show during Fashion week.
I had a front row seat at probably the most creative,
and cutting edge of the small designer Fashion shows.
All of the designers at this show are underground, new, and emerging.
I couldn't believe the different tastes and styles I saw!
It was like going to an Art show! I loved every minute of it.
There were 3 shows throughout the day.
One in the morning, Afternoon, and evening.
I ended up going to the afternoon and evening shows.
SBFW Was held at Studio 450 on West 31st Street.
It was a gorgeous wide open Penthouse, perfect for the event!!
There were designers of street style, boho looks, layered looks, and evening wear!
I'm happy I went and will be attending the next season of SBFW.
Its an inspiration for new designers to get their name out there,
and bring their underground style to the above.

Shimmer Effect

I love to be covered in sparkles and shimmer for photo shoots!
I think the best way to achieve that affect is with jewelry!! I'll be honest..
I don't wear tons of bracelets, necklaces and rings every single day.
Accessorizing can be a challenge!
It takes time to pick the right pieces to style a look.
I start with the hue and color of the dress or top I'm wearing,
and then color coordinate my accessories around that.
This is an almost white light pink silk tunic top.
The moment I saw it, I knew it'd be perfect to throw on over a bikini for the beach.
I knew it needed a few sparkly pieces for it to stand out.

I chose silver rhinestone pieces and layered necklaces to match the jeweled bikini I'm wearing.
I gathered the jewelry pieces together the night before the actual shoot.
As much as I wish I could roll out of bed in the morning and just know what to style I can't!
One of these days I need to show you my collection of accessories.
Its still growing and needs organizing!!
I feel like one of the most important factors in putting looks together is organization!
Once my accessories are organized I'll give you a small tour of my humble little accessory collection.
I'm happy I can give you a few tips on how I style my looks.
As with anything worth while it takes time and patience.
