Lemonade Bliss

For the past few months I've been in the process of putting a Fashion line together.
Its a lot of hard work!
The design development process takes a while.
Its trial and error in experimenting with fabrics, silhouettes, trends, and the cost of production.
This beautiful maxi dress I have on is from the Heather Eliza line.
Its made from Liberty of London Cotton Poplin.
Liberty of London makes the most incredible prints!
The prints are abstract and colorful.
I never thought of cotton as being an exciting fabric to wear until I saw Liberty of London cotton.
Its a shame we don't see more Liberty of London prints on the market today!
Its finely woven, and dyed to perfection!
This dress is the most unique color.
Its not mint, but more of a Lemonade color.
That's why I called it the Lemonade Maxi Dress!
It has a tropical floral print for a garden party,
Island get away,or destination wedding you could wear it to.
The best part about this dress?
Plenty of fabric and seams for fit and flare!
Summer dresses should have a fair amount of fabric in them for drape.
Its a high end maxi dress that's costly,
but you'll keep it forever and get so much wear out of it!
I hate throwing clothes in the garbage.
It pollutes the earth, and wastes our hard earned money.
My goal with the Heather Eliza line,
is to give you a few beautiful pieces for your closet out of the finest fabrics.
All of these garments will be manufactured in the USA saving our precious garment industry that's currently hanging on by a thread.
The Heather Eliza website is still under development, but
You can find this dress at shabbybabe.com.
More new pieces from the line will be up on the shabbybabe website next week.

Jungle Fever

I love to look a little tribal when I hit the beach!
A little bit of the non traditional is always refreshing when it comes to fashion.
When picking out a swimsuit for myself, color is very important to me..
I'm not naturally olive in skin tone,
so I always need to be prepared for days when I'm a little paler.
I find that colors like green, purple, and pink
look great on my naturally fair skin skin if their a bit more neutral.
I've had this army green swimsuit for almost 2 years now.
I love it because it has a jungle girl feel about it.
The swimsuit has halter straps that are little snake motifs.
Its so cute!
I had this vintage silk tiered ruffle skirt that matched the exact shade of olive green as my bikini.
This skirt was such a great beach cover up! Its a bit short to wear every day,
but for the beach it was perfect!
I love the way the California sunset captured the colors in these photos.
Get out there and enjoy the beach! Summer is  way too short.

Morning Yoga

Exercising is one of my favorite ways to pass the time!
I always face the problem of finding stylish workout clothes to change into 3 times a week.
I was lucky to recently discover these fabulous yoga leggings from Yogaoutlet.com.
They have so many different varieties of yoga leggings,
tops, and accessories for your daily workout routine!
This particular pair of leggings I'm wearing are the Vimmia Lattice Shakti Pant. I love them!!
Their so comfortable, and stretch so well with your body movements during a workout.
These pants go great with a cute little crop top or sports bra.
I love that their figure flattering too!
On casual days I wear these pants with sneakers and a sweat shirt.
Their great pants to throw on if your in a rush to get out of the house,
but don't feel like changing into jeans.
Their long lasting too!
You'll never have to worry about breaking a seam in these leggings.
The product quality is strong and durable.

Hopeless Romantic

Valentines Day is just 1 day away!
I think in the middle of February,
we all need just a hint of romance to get out of the winter blues.
This silk chiffon sunset floral dress is a statement of romance!
I love the butterfly sleeves and plunging neckline.
The dress is fitted around the waist and hips, and flares into layers of sheer silk floral heaven.
I had a lot of fun in this dress dancing around the beach on a windy day.
These photos truly captured the drape and design of it.
I hope everyone has a happy Valentines day this year.
Even if you don't have a valentine, treat yourself to some romance this weekend with
flowers, chocolates, and a romantic floral dress.

Amber Sunset

Layering clothes is a look I have a lot of fun with!!
As much as I love dresses separates play a big role in my wardrobe as well.
I was so lucky to have thrifted this crochet sweater...I've never seen fabric so beautifully laced and crocheted as this tunic top.
I almost didn't pack it in my suitcase to California.
It came in so handy at Moonstone beach when I was there at sunset.
It turns out California can get chilly at night.
This sweater top is a rust color which I love!
It truly matched the sunset that night.
I wish I could find more of these sweaters, but its so hard to find something this unique!
A top like this would be ideal for a beach cover up or to wear casually with jeans.
It can pass for grunge or boho depending on what your personal style is..
That's what I adore about vintage pieces.
The vintage clothing of the past can put an interesting spin on a modern day look.
Vintage is also great because you can guarantee nobody will have the same outfit as you.
I received so many compliments on this sweater,
and I'm so happy to have found it.
