Keep your Hat On!

Happy May everyone!! Summers around the corner.
As we know, Its all about staying cool in the late spring and summer.
It wasn't until recently that I started wearing hats to keep the sun rays off of me..
While I was in California in September, it was so hot on the beaches!
Sunscreen and shades just weren't enough to keep me cool.
Luckily,I found the cutest little hat store in Haight/Ashbury in San Francisco!
I went in to Goorin Bros. not knowing what I was going to find.
I tried on a few hats and fell in love with this Floppy hat!
Its pure wool and fits so perfectly!
I'm not a big spender, but I feel that when choosing a hat for your wardrobe,
you should invest in something a little bit more expensive.
A good quality hat will fit better, and last years!!
I traveled all around Cali with this hat on and took it on the plane too.
Even after storing it for almost a year in my closet it still fits and looks beautiful!
I'd like to get at least one or 2 more hats..
Their so much fun to wear, and really make a statement!
This summer I'd love to show you even more unique looks using more bold hats!

Bohemian Glitter

A bohemian is often described as a traveler, musician, artist, or writer
that lives and believes in a free spirited lifestyle..
Although I don't work a regular 9-5 job, and I don't have to answer to a boss,
I still have my share of responsibilities every day.
However, the best part of my job is I get to dress anything I want when I do my job.
This denim outfit is one of my favorite looks I put together.
This denim poncho was a rare vintage find. I love it!
The grommet detail on the poncho is spectacular, and my floppy hat goes so well with it.
This is a great look for spring, and for fall. The denim keeps it dressed down and casual.
I love working in these amazing clothes!
Fashion should be a way we can all express ourselves,
and I always make sure to express who I am through these fun looks.

Patchwork Heart

I've always loved the look of Blue Denim patchwork!
Patchwork is a look and an art form that goes hundreds of years back.
Its such a classic look we still wear it today.
While at the beach during sunset, it tends to get a little chilly at times.
I have this 70s blue leather patchwork sweater that I put on over my shorts and bikini.
It was just the right outfit to bring that day.
I love this sweater because it can be boho, grunge, hippie you name it.
The sweater can be a sweater dress or a tunic top.
Its a fantastic layering piece.
For this shoot, I wore the sweater with knee high leather boots for more of a grunge effect.
It would look great with gladiator sandals as well.
Blue is one of my favorite colors to wear,
so I love that its all different shades and textures of blue.
I finished the look with a choker of course!
I love chokers because they look great on my small frame.
Not to mention you can wear them with anything,
their very versatile like that.
This look has inspired to start collecting even more patchwork for my wardrobe!
I can't get enough of this look.

California Dreaming

Carmel, California is one of the true gems of the West Coast!!
It was my favorite part of California!
I was surrounded by mountains, gorgeous coast lines, and endless wildlife!!
It was like living in a dream…While I was visiting Carmel, I found Point Lobos State Natural Reserve…
It was one of the most beautiful parks I've ever been in!!
There were tremendous rock formations, and how could I not take a few pics by them??
I spent my day touring around Carmel,California
in this cute brown graphic mini dress, and my floppy hat…
It was the ideal dress to wear that day..
I usually never wear brown or neutral colors,
but I think they work well in this mini dress.
The dress has an elastic waistline,
so I threw on one of my vintage belts to go balance the dress out.
It matched the wild life and mood of Carmel.
I threw on my comfy pair of Chacos sandals to hike around Point Lobos in…
Its always great to have a pair of hiking sandals when traveling.
I saw so many sea lions that day!! It was magnificent…
Being in Carmel, gave me a whole new appreciation for the nature…
I'll never forget it….

Shredded

Once in a while we find those truly unique dresses that we never new existed!
I've never seen a design like this one before…
Its a Tee shirt inspired dress that's shredded.
I think its the most awesome dress I've ever seen…
The dress is made of a knit fabric that slips over the head, and hangs loosely on the body…
Its a truly fun piece to wear! I get compliments on this dress all the time.
The shredded texture is what makes the statement…
Its boho and grunge combined. I wish I had one of these in every color!
Id say this dress is a work of art..
If your looking to make a creative statement this dress is the one for you!
