Japanese Silk

Being the beach addict I am, I'm constantly shopping for jewelry, bikinis, and cover ups!

I've recently gotten into wearing Kimonos for beach cover ups. 

I think theres something so unique about wearing a kimono over your bikini! 

Its much more fun than throwing on a t-shirt. 

I shop for vintage Japanese Kimonos. 

Most of the Japanese kimonos run large which is perfect!

They come in bright colors with gorgeous Asian prints. 

Unfortunately the vintage Japanese kimonos can get expensive,

 so I only have collected a few so far. 

When I was at Huntington beach,

 I wore my bright Fuchsia embroidered Asian robe as a cover up. 

It was gorgeous! 

This robe totally matched the Cali sunset in these photos!

It has golden floral embroidery, and a gold silk lining.

It looked great on over my bikini.

 I didn't think this kimono was going to work but it worked out great!

Boho beach style never looked so good!

Who's leaving for a weekend get away this winter??!

 I wish I was! February is such a huge month for tropical Island getaways,

 I thought I'd do a post about it. 

I love to wear big full maxi wrap skirts to the beach.

 Their easy to take on and take off, 

plus packing them in your beach bags is a cinch! 

When I go to the beach I don't always go for a swim,which is kind of odd...

I like to get a tan,and walk along the shore, and that's where the beach separates come into play. 

This cotton batiste skirt was truly a fab vintage find of mine!

 The navy and batik print is out of this world!

 Its so perfect for a day at the beach.

 I received so many compliments on this beauty of a skirt. 

With a fabulous skirt like this its always important to find a stylish bikini top to put with it. 

So I put on this cute gold metallic and silver Victoria's Secret.

All season long I've been wearing my heart shaped sunglasses from Wild fox and I love them! Although they were expensive a good pair of shades is always worth the money. I know I'll get a lot of wear out of these sunglasses. Hopefully your enjoying the sunny weather for your tropical Island winter get away this month.

Rebel Heart

Leather is one of my favorite materials to wear for fall.
Whenever I'm wearing leather I'm always feeling rebellious!

I love how leather can be put together with so many outfits

 and it comes out looking classic each and every time! 

In my vintage clothing collection,

 I own a few vintage leather biker jackets.
Each one has its own unique style features.
Some have long fringe,
others have chunky zipper closures, and some are cropped! 

I think the leather biker jacket should be a wardrobe essential in everyones closet!

 Leather Moto jackets can be worn with jeans,dresses,
and yes even over bikinis! 

This gorgeous vintage biker jacket from shabbybabe really caught my eye! 

Its covered in long leather fringe,
and has a striking chunky front zipper closure! 

This is such a heavy leather biker jacket! 

In the winter months its guaranteed to keep you warm in the colder weather. 

I loved putting this with my metallic bikini from Victoria's Secret. 

I never thought metallic textures and leather would go so well together!

 I'm very happy how the results of this beach and leather styling experiment came out. 

I'm looking forward to putting many more leather looks together in the fall.

I love to wear silk!! Its my favorite textile in the world!!! 

Theres something about a silk goddess caftan that makes you feel like

 a queen when you put it on… 

Believe it or not this orange silk Caftan from shabbybabe is vintage!! 

Its one of the most luxurious and finest pieces of clothing I've seen!! 

The caftan is unbelievably lightweight. 

Its perfect to throw in your suitcase or in a beach bag and go!

 The silk doesn't wrinkle and with one gust of wind you look like a flying angel!!

 My passion is bohemian clothing!!! 

 In 10 years from now I hope to have 3 closets filled with bohemian clothing.

 I honestly wish I had 4 more of these silk caftan robes in different colors!

 To make a sheer silk outfit complete, its always a good idea to cover yourself in silver gypsy jewelry!! 

 I got together all my favorite bohemian jewelry pieces for this look,

and the bohemian accessories makes the silk look even sexier!!

I never cared for looking super glam to go to the beach,

 but when I see caftans like this how could I not add some glitz when going to the beach!!

The best part about dressing for the beach are those gorgeous bikini cover ups we get to wear and of course showing a little skin!… 

Since summers so short I make sure to visit the beach every week. 

Instead of going for the traditional bikini coverups I went for this sheer rayon boho tunic top from Shabbybabe. 

It has slits on each side that drape beautifully when it gets a little windy on the beach. 

The tunic also has embroidery and small mirrored embellishments to add a little glam. 

Since its also in a neutral color it matches pretty much any color swimsuit. 

I paired it with a bikini form Victorias Secret, and a few belts from Shabbybabe.
